Preme hostel renovation project comprises of 2 parts; 3 superior rooms and 10 capsule rooms. The total project area is 450 sq.m. with a budget up to $200,000. The scope of the project includes demolition, new paneling, new bedroom and bathroom flooring, new electrical wiring, built-in furniture, and a new venting system.

The challenge of the project was to renovate the space while the other half of the hostel is still operating. Providing hostel guests with comfort, making sure that construction noise is at minimum, and following construction schedule and budget were my main priority. The space is also extremely limited, therefore all material and furniture had to be delivered accordingly as there was no storage.
